My Rating: 4/5

This will be a really short review—just a snippet from a larger set of reviews I posted. But I figured there was no harm in giving it a mention and adding it to the section.

This book’s strongest point is the main character. Well-developed and well-rounded, and just full of depth. The book is basically just the set-up for a larger plot, so not a ton to judge here, but it’s still pretty enjoyable if you’re in it for the litrpg and progression. There’s lots of action, lots of dungeon delving, etc, and you’ll read it fast once you get started.

Now, I will put this down: oftentimes, luck plays a huge part in the main character's (Koji’s) progression and advancement. There are a few times where he chooses loot or skills, he gets lucky with the synergy—not because he planned it. But the system is pretty in-depth, and hopefully in the next installments, as Koji gets more experienced, this will probably fade away.
